Privacy Policy — EmulsionLast updated: 12 August 2026The short versionEmulsion doesn't collect anything. It has no accounts, no analytics, no
tracking, and no network connection. Everything the app makes stays on your
device unless you deliberately share it.
What Emulsion storesEmulsion saves the recipes you generate, edit, or import, along with your
settings — your camera body, appearance preference, and sound and animation
options. All of this is stored locally on your device, in the app's own
storage. It is not sent anywhere, and we cannot see it.
If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.PhotosEmulsion can read a screenshot you choose in order to import a recipe from it.
The image is picked by you through Apple's photo picker, the text is read
on-device, and the picture itself is never stored or transmitted by the app.
Emulsion has no access to the rest of your photo library.
If you save a recipe card to your photos, Emulsion asks permission to add that
one image. It does not gain the ability to read your library.
SharingYou can export a recipe as a file, an image, or a link, and share it using the
standard iOS share sheet. What happens to it after that depends on the app or
service you send it to — their privacy policy applies, not this one. Emulsion
itself never sends anything on your behalf.
No data collectionEmulsion contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no
third-party SDKs, and no server of its own. It does not use the internet at
all. Because nothing leaves your device, there is no data for us to sell,
share, or lose.
ChildrenEmulsion is safe for all ages: it collects no personal information from
anyone, including children.
ChangesIf this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page
with a new date. Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a
clarification rather than a change in practice.
